About the treatment
Lip filler uses a hyaluronic acid gel to add structure and hydration. It can define the border of the lip, correct asymmetry, lift downturned corners and add volume in proportion to the rest of your face.
Dr Rosh plans lip treatment around your profile and natural lip shape. Many patients need less product than they expect, and a subtle first treatment can always be built on later.
Aftercare
- Mild swelling and tenderness are normal for 24 to 48 hours
- Avoid heavy exercise and excessive heat for 24 hours
- Apply a cold compress gently if needed
- Avoid alcohol, smoking and touching your lips straight after treatment

Questions
What are lip fillers made of?
Mostly hyaluronic acid, which hydrates and sculpts the lips to your requirements.
Does it hurt?
Dr Rosh uses a strong numbing cream, fillers with local anaesthetic built in and very fine needles, so treatment is as comfortable as possible.
How long does it last?
Usually 6 to 12 months, though it can be longer or shorter depending on your metabolism and lifestyle.
When will I see results?
Straight away, and they continue to improve over about 2 weeks as swelling settles.
What if I do not like the result?
Hyaluronic acid fillers are fully reversible, so adjustments can be made if needed.
Are there side effects?
Swelling and bruising from the injections are the most common, and usually settle within 48 hours.
